LifeBanc serves as the organ procurement organization (OPO) for Northeast Ohio, serving 20 counties, 80 hospitals. and 3 transplant centers. Since it's beginning Hoops 4 Healing has worked closely with LifeBanc to promote awareness of the need for organ donation.
LifeBanc, which has been a recipient of yearly donations from Hoops 4 Healing, has been a primary supporter of H4H by supplying materials, speakers, and information booths at H4H events.
Since it's beginning in 1999 The Hoops 4 Healing Foundation has worked closely with the American Liver Foundation to increase awareness of liver diseases and to raise money for research to find cures for those diseases.
The ALF was the sponsor for the original Hoops 4 Healing Basketball Event in 1999, and has been a strong supporter of the games each year. Since that first event the ALF has been the recipient of several donations from the Hoops 4 Healing Foundation.
The devastating effects of Primary Sclerosing Cholangitus have been felt first hand by the members of the Hoops 4 Healing Foundation and our families. We are excited to partner with another organization that has done a wonderful job of providing information and supporting research in the fight against this deadly disease.
PSC Partners Seeking a Cure is a foundation that endeavors to find a cure for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. This organization has done an outstanding job of providing information, increasing awareness, raising funds, and organizing a nation wide effort to fight PSC.
